Case Clarity Consultancy - Support Through Scottish Justice

By Marsha Sturgeon

False allegations can change your life in an instant. If you're trying to navigate the Scottish justice system and don't know where to turn, you're not alone.

When false allegations were first made against my partner, I wish we'd had someone - anyone - to talk to. There was no JIMS, no organised support network, and no one to help us understand how the Scottish justice system works or what lay ahead. We felt lost, overwhelmed and completely unprepared for the journey we were about to face.

That's why I do what I do today.

Drawing on my own lived experience, my national work with JIMS, and the privilege of supporting hundreds of individuals and families across Scotland, I can offer you a confidential, one-to-one support to help you better understand what's happening, what comes next, and how to navigate the journey with greater clarity and confidence.

And while you're here, I invite you to explore my website, learn more about the issues we are all facing, and visit my blog, where I'll be sharing my thoughts, experiences and lessons learned along the way. My hope is that you'll leave knowing one thing above all else - you don't have to face this journey alone.

Support Built on Lived Experience.

CCC was created because I know how overwhelming it is to be thrown into a world you never expected to be part of. Whether you are facing false allegations yourself or supporting a loved one, my aim is to help you understand the Scottish justice system, make informed decisions, and feel less alone throughout the journey.

Through confidential one-to-one consultations, I'll help you make sense of your situation, prepare for meetings with your legal team, understand what to expect at court, and, where appropriate, connect you with trusted professionals who may be able to help further.

My support doesn't stop there. I also work with families whose loved ones are already within the system, offering guidance around appeals, prison progression, and the practical and emotional challenges that come with navigating life after conviction.

The Truth

False allegations are often presented as being exceptionally rare. My experience has led me to question that narrative. Having spoken to hundreds of individuals and families across Scotland, I believe the true scale and impact of false allegations is far greater than most people realise. Many cases never receive meaningful attention, and the harm caused to those affected is too often overlooked.

CCC Scotland

CCC was born from both my personal experience of false allegations and the Scottish justice system, and from my work with JIMS. Through national projects, surveys, awareness campaigns and direct support, I have helped hundreds of individuals and families across Scotland. As awareness grew, so did the number of people reaching out. Every message I cant answer stays with me. That's why I created CCC. JIMS will always remain at the heart of what I do & JIMS consultations continue as before. CCC - gives me the opportunity to dedicate more of my own time to those looking for direct support.

The Impact

A false allegation can change a life in an instant. Beyond the legal process lies the emotional, financial, and personal toll on the accused and those closest to them. Families are left searching for answers, trying to understand an unfamiliar justice system while coping with uncertainty, stigma, and the fear of what comes next. No one should have to face that journey without support.

Sometimes the hardest part is simply knowing where to start. These confidential one-to-one sessions give you the time and space to talk through your situation with someone who understands, helping you make sense of what's happening and what your next steps could be.
